Today was one for the books!

Here is the quick snapshot of my day--a most unexpected day indeed! It involved a 4 am rise, a surprise "party", chaos in the therapy gym, the Oscar Mayer prayer, a yellow lake, lots of hugs, king cake, flax seed, "one more 'round @ Roman's", too many MEETINGS, a hold up with a butter knife, 8 - 10 RUNNING police officers, repeated signatures, enough paper to build a tree, and after-work drinks with the girls!!! WHEW!!!

I am TIRED now as I sit for a moment to reflect on ALL that has transpired since I got wearily up out of bed! (YIKES, I am sounding OLD!!) AND still tonight I have to PACK, wash clothes, make a "honey-do" shopping list, clean out my purse (OMG you should SEE THAT!! --embarrassing!), shave, paint my nails.....surely that isn't ALL :D and try to grab a few hours of sleepy time since I have one more work day before we speed to MS, drop off the "kids", and wake at the crack of dawn to drive into NOLA for the airport!!! I'm am SURE to forget half of what I need but once on "island time" I will be OK!!

Have you ever heard of IZ?

It never ceases to amaze me how music can touch the soul. I'm sitting here (supposed to be finishing my backlog of PPW via remote login) listening to Iz sing 'Kaulana Kawaihae'....ok I'm still working on my Hawaiian pronunciation aptitude too! He truly had (rest in peace Iz) a beautiful and serene voice that just plucks you out of whatever you are trying to do and makes you listen...getting lost in the song. I had almost forgotten that I made this CD of my favorite Hawaiian tunes---until the blog of a friend brought it to my mind. :)

The other two pics ("What is wrong with this camera #$%&@@**!!") are representative of my SAD & very limited knowledge of night photography--OK who am I kidding of photography in general!! I think I have MUCH to learn ;) BUT they ARE kinda KEWL in a modern art, funky sort of jump-jivin' way!?

Cramped for space??

Apparently our little home is getting a bit difficult to find a nice place to sleep!! -->That just doesn't look too comfortable to me....but BK is sound asleep anyway...AND THE STACKS OF BOXES GROW ON...

The ZIPLOC strikes back!!

More cherished items heading for a box....errrr a ziploc then a box --anyone have experience packing LEGOS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe not MY cherished item but sometimes I think I live with a Stormtrooper......see the dust (hence the reason not on my most loved list)

This week promises to be crazy and filled with many MIXED emotions! You may not know but I get attached to people and places!! I haven't worked in one building as long as I have at St. Clare ever before---4 years I think WOW! Sister Mila gave all the adm. staff the prettiest prayer card for Saint Clare today at our morning standup---she is certainly one of the most eclectic and FUN Sisters I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! :)

Unexpected dinner date :)

THANK GOODNESS FOR A DELIGHTFUL RESCUE FROM THE BOREDOM OF MY (supposed to be very busy) WEEKEND!!! Grogan & B surprised me this afternoon by stopping by on their way back from Houston to hang out a while and grab some Za!! :)

You should see the geckos I agreed to babysit for a year or two! They are HUGE --kinda scary looking--and are by report very "sweet". I think I am afraid! I really get myself into some good ones at times *ROFL* ANYWAY they eat the same thing as our resident froggies (the live ones not the cute plastic ones in my kitchen window) so, of course, I volunteered my SO and I to "babysit."

You might be asking yourself--WHAT is that picture supposed to be? Well, the answer is NOTHING! ....exactly what I did/accomplished today--NOTHING!!! I have decided that my life has been incredibly boring recently!! I MUST change this SOON before I die from taking too many naps!!! ...and there is the small problem of my LONG VERY LONG list of things I'm supposed to be doing!!!!
